This addition to the series is one of the earlier frescoes from 2007. It’s a smaller piece at 14″x 18″, based on an area of the 540 beltline here in Raleigh. I liked the way the overpass comes down to meet the beltline, emerging out of the trees and bushes as if it was an extension of a larger body joining with another. After I sketched it out I decided to change the setting to nighttime under a full moon that illuminates the entire landscape, much like the moon did last night. Up close, there are tail lights of a car passing under the overpass.
